X-48 Referenced in NASA Takes Next Step in Green Aviation X-planes Plan

Boeing Blended Wing SubScale Demonstrator X-48B built by Cranfield Aerospace Solutions in flight

The Boeing BWB concept is listed as one of five X-planes for possible further development.

The Boeing X-48 BWB was built by Cranfield Aerospace Solutions to provide a dynamically scaled flying test aircraft. Cranfield Aerospace Solutions engineers were able to take the design and requirements from Boeing and produce both a wind tunnel model and a fully remotely flown aircraft. CAeS worked closely with Boeing through the design process and then continued to provide support during the flight testing.
