Cranfield Aerospace presented two papers at the recent 83rd Shock & Vibration Exchange Symposium, held in New Orleans.
The Shock and Vibration Exchange Symposium is the oldest continual forum dealing with the response of structures and materials to vibration and shock. The symposium hosts many highly regarded delegates and offers the chance to discuss new techniques, developments and applications.
CAe presented a paper on the development of a semi-automated process for analysis and test specification of trundling shocks, work that has been carried out as part of the recent Wolfhound trials assessment programme for the MOD.
CAe also presented a paper on the overview of the work done to date on the optimisation of air carriage life for defensive aids, identifying some of the issues encountered, new technology such as CAe’s Air Countermeasure Data Logger (ACDL) and new techniques being explored in support of ongoing contracts with the Defence General Munitions (DGM) Project Team.
